Melinda Murphy is an EMMY award-winning writer. In fact, writing is her first love.
Murphy is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Singapore American Newspaper and Communications Manager for the American Association of Singapore. She writes articles for the paper on a monthly basis.
In 2016, Murphy served as the Coordinating Editor and author of the travel chapter for "Living in Singapore, Fourteenth Edition Reference Guide."
In 2002, Murphy co-edited Covering Catastrophe: Broadcast Journalists Report September 11, a collection of accounts from journalists who covered the events of that day. The book is now published by the 9/11 Museum with all proceeds going to the museum. She has also contributed to Broadcasting through Crisis and On-Camera: How to Report, Anchor and Interview.
Murphy authored a parenting blog for Westchester Magazine and, more recently, a personal blog about her experiences living and traveling in Asia.
She is currently working on a screenplay and book.
